Dr. Pedro Avila has dedicated his career to advancing the understanding and treatment of allergies, asthma and immune-related conditions. Since joining Allergy & ENT Associates in 2016, he has provided expert care for children and adults, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic rhinitis, asthma, chronic sinusitis, hives, food allergies, angioedema, eczema, anaphylaxis, drug and insect allergies and primary immunodeficiencies.

With 18 years in academic medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Northwestern University (NU) in Chicago, Dr. Avila rose to the rank of Professor of Medicine and spent 13 years directing allergy-immunology fellowship programs. During this time, he supervised the training of 50 physicians and contributed extensively to medical research, co-authoring over 130 papers and book chapters on asthma, respiratory infections, allergic rhinitis and sinus conditions.
